A Light Watch For Formula 1-Oris Williams Chronograph

Oris extend a carbon fiber dial Chronograph into its Williams collection, a sporty, lightweight material lifted from the innovative world of Formula 1.

The new watch picks up on the aesthetic first seen in the Williams Chronograph Carbon Fiber Extreme and the Williams Valtteri Bottas Limited Edition, launched earlier this year. Its chronograph sub-dials all reset to a zero point at 8 o’clock, mirroring the dials found on old Formula 1 instrument panels; the chronograph hands are in contrasting Williams blue; the dial features oversized applied numerals at 9 and 3; and the numerals in the minute track around the outside of the dial sit horizontally (rather than following the contours of the case), inspired by the design of the instrument panel of a modern Williams Formula 1 car.Side of Oris Williams Chronograph
The 44mm case is made of stainless steel and retains the fluid, streamlined shape inspired by the profile of a Formula 1 car that was first seen last year. The watch runs on an automatic mechanical chronograph movement that provides time, chronograph and date functions. The new watch is available on either a rubber strap or a stainless steel bracelet (both with a folding clasp), and is water-resistant to 10 bar/100 meters.Side of Oris Williams Chronograph 02
